Mario Häring was born in November 1989 in Hannover, Germany, and grew up in Berlin. Descendant of a German-Japanese family of musicians, he gained his first experiences with the piano and violin at the early age of three and in 1994 he took his first piano lessons. Even before finishing high school, he became a student of Professor Fabio Bidini at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts and Professor Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hannover University of Music, Theater and Media. Mario Häring concluded his studies in 2017 with Prof. Kämmerling and Prof. Lars Vogt, with the highest qualification.

He gained special recognition at the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition by winning Second Prize as well as the Yaltah Menuhin Award for Best Chamber Music Performance.

In 2003 Mario Häring made his orchestral debut at the Berlin Philharmonie Hall. Since then, his concert activities have taken him to renowned venues such as the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Wigmore Hall in London, and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. He has participated in important festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein, the International Steinway Festival, the Schwetzinger, the Kissinger Sommer and the “Spannungen” Festival in Heimbach. In the spring of 2017 he was the first “Intendant-in-residence” of the newly founded “Alpenarte” festival in Schwarzenberg, Austria. His concert engagements have taken him throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.

Mario is an avid performer of the chamber repertoire and frequently collaborates in this field with Soyoung Yoon, Pablo Barragán, Kian Soltani and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.

In the 2021/22 season, his concerts with the Paris Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Lars Vogt, his debut at the “La Roque d'Anthéron” Festival with Concert no. 12 by Mozart and Ravel's Concerto in G at the Theâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris. At the BASF in Ludwigshafen he played a shared recital with Lars Vogt, in which both artists played solo and four-hand repertoire. At the Berlin Philharmonie he played with the Kammersymphonie Berlin under Jürgen Bruns. At the Nuremberg Meistersingerhalle he performed Grieg's Piano Concerto with the Nuremberg Symphony conducted by Ari Rasilainen. Other concerts have taken him to the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam, the Hitzacker Music Week and the Konzerthaus in Vienna.

In recent seasons, Mario Häring has been a regular guest at the great European concert halls, where he has performed as part of the ECHO cycle “Stars on the Rise” with the cellist Kian Soltani, as well as with the oboist Cristina Gómez Godoy and the violist Sara Ferrández. . He also shares his passion for chamber music with violinist Noé Inui, with whom he released the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) nominated album “Identity”.

His debut solo album "Russian Moments" was devoted to works by Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev and Kapustin. For Debussy's centenary in 2018, he released the unanimously critically acclaimed album "... les Préludes sont des Images" featuring atmospheric interpretations of works by Debussy; this recording was nominated for an ICMA and Opus Klassik award. His album "Røta", a project with violinist Ragnhild Hemsing and cellist Benedict Klöckner, was awarded an Opus Klassik 2021.

Mario is a fellow of the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and the German Foundation for Musical Life.
