URIEL RODRIGUEZ SOTO

GENERAL MANAGEMENT

 

Uriel Rodríguez Soto, was born in 1990 in Mexico City. At the age of 23, he made his debut in England and later in Austria, where he won an honorable mention for having performed the best interpretation of Mozart in the Kammerphilharmonie Graz 2014 competition; starting an international career that has positioned him as one of the youngest, most talented, charismatic and versatile directors of the new generation.

Uriel is founder of 3 orchestras and president of the Rozst Music Foundation. He is currently principal conductor of the National Sinfonietta Orchestra (Mexico City); the Ciudad Juárez Symphony Orchestra (Chihuahua, Mex.); of the Rozst Symphony Orchestra (Xalapa, Mex.).

At the age of 25, he received an invitation to collaborate as assistant to the Austrian director Achim Holub, in a series of concerts held in London, and in the cities of Össiach and Graz, Austria. Since then, Uriel has debuted in different cities and countries: London, England; Graz and Vienna, Austria; Rimini, Italy; Boulogne Sur Mer, France.

 

In 2019, Uriel receives an invitation to direct the opera "La Traviata" by G. Verdi; in one of the oldest and most important theaters in Europe: Teatro Argentina in Rome, Italy. Similarly, in 2021, Uriel will have his debut in Spain, directing the Symphonic Band "Banda Música Puertollano" which was awarded in 2019 with the first place for the best Symphonic Band in the prestigious Valencia International Band Competition.

Some of the orchestras he has conducted include: Orpheus Kammerphilarmonie (Vienna), London Classical Soloist (London), Opal Sinfonietta (France), Kammerphilarmonie Graz (Austria), Rimini Chamber Orchestra (Italy). At the national level, he has been invited to conduct the Xalapa Chamber Orchestra (OCaXa), the Xalapa University Orchestra of Popular Music (OUMP), the Orchestra of the Higher Institute of Music (ISMEV), the Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Music of the Veracruzana University (for 1 semester), the UACJ Chamber Orchestra (Chihuahua) and has been principal conductor of the Youth Symphonic Band of the Faculty of Music of the Veracruzana University (Xalapa) for 3 years.

Uriel has completed a master's degree in orchestral conducting under the tutelage of Maestro Lanfranco Marcelletti. He graduated as a graduate in Music from the UACJ; where he studied Orchestral Conducting with Maestro Carlos García Ruiz. Internationally he has studied with various Masters: In Vienna under the tutelage of Master Konstantinos Diminakis; in London and in Graz with Master Achim Holub. He has received master classes from Guido Maria Guida (Italy) and Christof Harr (Germany).

 

In 2020 he receives an invitation to collaborate with the Italian Samnium University, participating as part of the jury at the Vienna Musikverein, for the international orchestral musicians competition.

Due to its interest in cultural development, it has formed in 2018 the Rozst Music Foundation, which currently houses 3 orchestras in Mexico and a music academy, offering more than 30 concerts a year, as well as national and international competitions, in different topics.

In the year 2020 he writes two educational books, the first on orchestral conducting and the second on Instruments of the Orchestra, later he receives an invitation to present them at the library of Ciudad Real, in Spain.
